04/21/24 Seasonal Self-care for Women: Spring
Get in tune with the seasons by incorporating the principles of Ayurveda into your self-care.
Ayurveda is an ancient, individualized wellness practice aligned with the earth’s natural rhythms. By focusing on food, daily routines and mindfulness we can support body, mind and spirit.
Feeling heavy, puffy, lethargic, congested, sluggish? Spring is known in Ayurveda as Kapha season. Kapha is made up of earth and water (think MUD). As the sun’s energy increases and melts the earth, the same thing happens in our bodies, which can feel unpleasant.
Spring is an important juncture that gives us the opportunity to clear out winter’s stagnation before the heat of summer arrives. In this workshop we will discuss the basics of the Ayurvedic daily clock and self-care routines, known as dinacharya, that will support this important seasonal transition as well as foods and activities to favor to bring us into balance.
An opportunity for a spring cleanse protocol will also be offered.
